Modern Medicaid Alliance Unveils ‘Medicaid Solutions’
States and Alliance Partners Featured in Case Studies of Innovative Solutions in Medicaid
Washington, D.C. – The Modern Medicaid Alliance (MMA) unveiled its “Medicaid Solutions” series today. This new effort is aimed at informing policymakers and the public about innovative health solutions developed in Medicaid. The first-of-its-kind series features examples of unique and successful state created Medicaid programs that help save taxpayer dollars, improve health, or both.
“Medicaid is making a vital difference in the lives of tens of millions of people every day – and that’s not happening by chance,” said Mary R. Grealy, President of the Healthcare Leadership Council, a Modern Medicaid Alliance partner. “State governments, doctors, health plans, and local organizations are implementing industry-leading Medicaid solutions that improve care and outcomes in cost-effective ways. From integrated care, to prevention and wellness, to patient engagement and mental health outcomes – we are going to tell the story about how Medicaid is improving lives and saving dollars.”
The MMA’s first Medicaid solution comes from the Missouri Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) Healthcare Homes Program. The initiative is breaking new ground to deliver integrated mental and physical health care through the state’s 29 community mental health centers. For more, click here.
The MMA will release multiple ‘Medicaid Solutions’ throughout the year. States and organizations are encouraged to submit their ‘Medicaid Solutions’ through the Get Involved section of the MMA website.
