Value of Medicaid

Medicaid helps millions of Americans every day. It is the largest health care program in the United States, covering more than 20% of the U.S. population. Medicaid serves a diverse array of people, including millions of children, Americans 65+, people with disabilities, and 2 million veterans. Medicaid provides a critical safety net for Americans who need it most. In addition to helping improve the health and financial security of enrollees, the program allows us to find innovative health solutions so we can deliver better health outcomes, promote cost savings, and enhance social impact. With so much at stake, it’s more important than ever to educate policymakers and the public about the benefits and value of Medicaid.
